José Manuel Cantera Fonseca is a software engineering professional with more than 20 years of experience. José matured as professional within the Telefónica R&D Division, where he played and adapted to multiple roles (multi-language developer, software architect, standards engineer, technology evangelist, technical product manager, …) in global projects, multi-company joint-ventures, standards organizations (W3C, ETSI, GSMA) or open source software ecosystems (Morfeo, Mozilla Firefox OS, FIWARE).

Currently, Jose is an ICT consultant specialized on software: engineering, technology and architecture. While keeping up with the contemporary Open Mobile and Web Platforms, he is also keen on Cloud Native Computing, Open Linked Data, APIs, IoT and DLTs.
